Lots of food and shopping on Jurmala street, but the whole area is very large so renting bikes or having a car is very important.
Summer would be much nicer but the autumn was very quiet and there were no crowds anywhere.

Jurmala is a must-visit when coming to Latvia.
Jurmala is a must-visit when coming to Latvia. The kilometeres long beach side just 20-30 minutes from Riga, easy to reach both by car and by train. First things to visit are most likely Majori, Dzintari and shopping/walking street that connects both of those places (which also stands for train stops when you buy train tickets). But also Bulduri and Dubulti are good areas to visit, especially if you are a fan of architecture - Jurmala has its own unique style of wooden architecture houses, some of them have been reconstructed and can be perfectly seen between streets (Morbergs summer house is the best example of this). There are plenty of good 4 and 5 star hotels in the center - with good SPA's and restaurant. The best outside restaurant could be "Line 36" - with one of the best Latvian chefs. For active attractions my best suggestion is Livu Aqua Park - inside water attractions park, one of the biggest in Baltics, quite pricey but good for a fun day, especially with kids. There are lots of nature to explore around the city, but all in all I would say that outside the summer season the city will surprise you with the pleasant calmness and fresh air.

We couldn't find anyplace where we could walk the dog on the beach. In general, I didn't get the impression that dogs are appreciated there. Our 5kg Havanese seemed too much for a beach walk in October--even on the leash.

Nice town with long beach near Riga.
Nice town with long beach near Riga. A varitey of restaurants and leisure activities are available.
Unfortunately the summer seasons ends mid of august so that as late august traveler the beaches and town seem a little like a ghost town and a lot of restaurants, activites etc. are already closed

great location, right on the beach with every possible facility available. a short walk to the shopping area where we bought souvenirs and had coffee. The hotel restaurant had an exclusive feel and the food was excellent. We will definitely return again.
Welcome drinks at the check-in for adults brut and for the kids juice & muffins, thank you.
We arrived on Friday 18/03/22, the check in process was pretty fast, great customer service, we booked a family room, it was really spacious, fantastic sea view, delicious breakfast, free access to SPA, steam rooms and the swimming pool with the sea water, comfortable beds, free parking, friendly staff members at the bar, ourselves and the kids didnt want to leave Baltic Beach Hotel. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
Host was wonderful, all instructions how to get to the apartments were given. One of the main point is location: 2 minutes walk to the beach through luxurious road, so we have only good impressions. Also, we visited Lielupe hotel spa so we spent 8-10 min to get there" which is amazing. Moreover, we enjoyed the location of railway station (also 2 minutes of walk) therefore it was comfortable to visit Riga as well.
Netflix, other TV applications are available for visitors.
The location was spectacular, right on the main street and just blocks from the concert hall and beach. The room was quiet, and there was a lovely outdoor area for relaxing in the shade. The breakfast included a nice selection and quality of food and beverage options and took place in their comfortable onsite restaurant which has both indoor and outdoor seating. It was the perfect spot for a solo traveler looking to relax, but still have access to all the goings on.
absolutely everything! beautiful villa with attention to details, spacious apartment! love every corner of it! excellent place to stay with a child. the bbq area is lovely. next to the beach and the Main Street with restaurants and shops! would give 5 Stars with a plus !!! ☀️
Thank you to a lovely lady here who was making sure we have everything we need!!!!
i hope to be back next year, only for a longer stay, we enjoyed every minute here !!!! love Jurmala ❤️
Great historical property next to the beach and to Jomas street with restaurants and shops. Dzintari mezapark is nearby as well. Close by railway station to take to other Jurmala cities and Riga. Apartments have nice playground if traveling with kids. Very quite with beautiful grounds. Well maintained. We were able to rent bikes and use swimming pool at the nearby Baltic Beach hotel.
The hotel is in a very quiet area but only a few minutes walk from the beach. Although it's quite far from the main centre of Jurmala and the restaurants, shops etc. there is a regular bus service from the end of the road and it only costs 50 cents! The breakfast was pretty good and the room, although small, was very comfortable.
Everything was wonderful - starting from Check - in. Staff was very professional and friendly. SPA center was wonderful - swimming pool with sea water and wonderful environment including several bathes. Breakfast was very tasty with really very wide food and drinks selection and with wonderful view to the beach from window..
Excellent location- right on main walking street, 5 minutes to Dzintari concert hall, 7 minutes to beach.
Very quiet (not on the road)
Super clean and fresh interior.
Great staff- got a free upgrade, room was ready 3 hours before earliest check-in time.
Nice place to park motorcyle(s) (car space is somewhat limited)
Cozy atmosphere, close to Dubunti station and to the beach in Jurmala, supermarkets around the corners as well. The spa treatments are a plus. The hotel is nicely decorated and the bed is super comfortable, which make our stay and rest perfect. I’d highly recommend it. Rooms are bigger than average.
Probably the best place to stay in Jurmala! :) Spacious, still very cozy rooms, very clean and thought through details what you can need during the stay. Absolutely positive and very helpful staff at the reception. Location is perfect for both visiting the beach and going to the center.
Very good location. There is everything you need. Delicious coffee with a beautiful view ;) The bed in a cone-tent was wide and comfy. Cozy spaces around - tables, hammocks. Nearby is Lielupe, which looks like a small lake. There is a place on the beach for swimming.
Typical wooden house of Jurmala. Close to the Concerthall, beach, Jomas pedestrian street. Friendly staff. There is refrigerator in the room, kettle, two caps. Beds are comfortable. There is cafe in the hotel with good prices.
- Good location, pretty close to main pedesstrian street and not so far away from the beach
- Most of stuff you need are there
- Good value compared to other bookings in Jurmala
SPA was very nice. The location of the hotel was very good - close to the main street and to the beach. Breakfast was pretty ok. The view from the balcony - priceless!
I liked the location of the hotel the most. Other than that there wasn't much that I liked about this hotel. I guess the lobby area is spacious and feels inviting.
